Sister Monica Bohlen

Monica Faith French Bohlen is a servant of the Most High God . She’s married to Theotis Bohlen, they have six children and ten grandchildren. She began playing the piano at the age of five by ear. Her mother heard her playing and decided to have her take private piano lessons from one of the best teachers in the city Dr. J Dorris Jones Wilson. She studied Classical Music and Theory along with Gospel with her for fourteen years. Monica began playing the piano for the Church of the Living God CWFF Y.P.P.U. (Young People’s Progressive Union) at the age of seven. Her mother (National Recording Artist) Evang. LaVera S. French knew that she was blessed with a gift in music ministry at an early age  and she made sure that Monica and her sisters were well rounded in every gospel music workshop and convention available. She grew up in the National Convention of gospel choirs and courses founded by the Late Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey . Monica also was part of The Gospel Music Workshop of America founded by the Late James Cleveland. As an adult she begin teaching and traveling with her mother and Sis. Erna French doing music workshops at different churches and even traveled to Boston Massachusetts to conduct a Music Workshop at Amherst University. 
In 2013 , Monica decided to come home to the Church of the Living God CW FF, Temple 29 where she serves as the minister of music. She looks forward to taking the church music department to the next level, and also working with the district and national music department. She hopes to serve in the same manner of excellence as the leaders and music pioneers that taught her.
